Claremont Running Team is a volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded and run by Claremont parents on behalf of their own children and those in the community.

We need your support!


 Parent Volunteers   Responsibilities Requirements
Coaches
  • Attend CRT practices and Events with their child Runner.
  • Assist Head Coach in implementing practice plans for specific groups of runners, including those for their own child.
  • Accompany Runners on any Trail Runs (as able)
  • Confirm children are picked up by their parent/guardian after Program Practices and Events.
  • Assist Head Coach in implementing practice plans for specific groups of runners, including own child.
  • Runner Encouragement
  • Help in field or course set-up and take-down.  Help notify Participants / Runners of changes in practice schedules due to weather conditions or other circumstances
Enroll as a CRT Volunteer;
USATF Membership; 
SafeSport online Training;
NCSI Background Screening; and
Must be Age 18 or greater.

Social Coordinator  Plan and organize runner snacks, runner team awards, and any social events. Enroll as a CRT Volunteer;
USATF Membership; 
SafeSport online Training;
NCSI Background Screening; and
Must be Age 18 or greater.

CRT Secretary

  Enroll as a CRT Volunteer; SafeSport online Training.
Must be Age 18 or greater.

CRT Treasurer/Accounting

  Enroll as a CRT Volunteer; SafeSport online Training.
Must be Age 18 or greater.

Enrollment Recruitment Manager

  • Raise Team awareness at your child's school and in the community.
  • Create and distribute flyers
  • Post banners
  • To increase Enrollment of Runners & Volunteers.
  • Raise awareness of CRT in the Claremont Community.
  • Flyers, distribute to schools. 
  • Contact Parents, potential student volunteers
Enroll as a CRT Volunteer; SafeSport online Training.
Must be Age 14 or greater.

Registration Recruitment Manager

  • Promote increase Registrations from Enrollees.
  • Communications to Enrollees and parents regarding upcoming programs and events.
Enroll as a CRT Volunteer;
SafeSport online Training;
Must be Age 14 or greater.
Event Coordinator
  • Manage special events, such as races.
  • Distribute race information to Registrants and their Parents,
  • make sure payments are complete,
  • Team Registrations completed for races 
  • Record RUNNERS' arrival at the site of the event, and ensure RUNNERS are reunited with their parents upon completion of the race or event. 
  • Confirm that required participation waivers have been signed and submitted.

Child Safety Manager

  Enroll as a CRT Volunteer; SafeSport online Training.
Must be Age 18 or greater.

Facilities Manager

  Enroll as a CRT Volunteer; SafeSport online Training.
Must be Age 18 or greater.

Webmaster

 Enroll as a CRT Volunteer; SafeSport online Training.
Must be Age 18 or greater.
 Student Volunteers Student Volunteers can make running even more fun for Participants/Runners.  More types of Programs and Events are possible with more Student Volunteers.  Children look up to the student volunteers and can see them as role models.   Student Volunteers run along with Participants during practices trail runs, and even some road races.  As a Student Volunteer, you will encourage, mentor, and help keep participants safe.  If you are a volunteer and would like to receive a letter from CRT identifying yourself as having completed a particular number of volunteer hours or duration (for schools or employers) this can be obtained upon request. Age 14-18.  Signed parental Waiver required.

SafeSport TrainingThe United States Olympic Committee has directed all National Governing Bodies, including USATF, to implement the SafeSport training program throughout their organization.  Therefore, all USATF officials, National Staff, registered agents, coaches on the Coaches Registry, and youth club coaches and administrators are required to complete the SafeSport course, which seeks to create a healthy, supportive environment for athletes. The SafeSport course is an online training module put together by the U.S. Center for SafeSport. The course covers lesson areas that include, but are not limited to, sexual misconduct; emotional and physical misconduct; and mandatory reporting. USATF MembershipUSA Track & Field requires that all Youth Club coaches and Youth Club volunteers who come in contact with athletes during registered team practices or other club-related track and field activities, must be accepted into the USATF Registered Coaches Program.  http://www.usatf.org/Resources-for---/Coaches.aspx
