Quarterly Youth Practices, September 14 - November 30, 2020. Held M, T, W, and Th (except holidays). Please read the Sunday email newsletter and check claremontrunning.org home page for any changes in times or locations.
Registration for 2020 Fourth Quarter Practices costs $28.00 per runner. This is reduced from $32, due to the shortened quarter. This is in addition to annual membership costs through August 2020 for new members. Due to Covid 19, returning runners will pay no membership for 2020-2021, if completing membership requirements by September 30. If you have changes to runners' profiles (ie. medical insurance info), please update. Cost of practices translates to about 70 cents a practice. CRT is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization and all money collected is used to defray 3rd party costs.
Joining the team as an Annual Youth Team Member is a prerequisite for Quarterly Practice registration. For New members, Running Team Memberships are for up to a full year ($48) and are good from first date of membership through August 31, 2020. Annual Membership and Registrations are charged separately.
Practices are one-hour. Start and end times by month:
- September 14 - October 30: 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
- November 1 - November 30: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
- Practice Times are subject to change. Please check home page or weekly newsletter for updates.
Practices may be cancelled due to inclement weather (rain or excessive heat), field conditions, or circumstances beyond Claremont Running Team's control. There are no make-ups or refunds for cancelled days. On days with questionable weather, please check the CRT homepage for any possible cancellations or changes.
Parents/Guardians for Youth Runners 4th grade and under, must remain at the practice site during the practice/event. Due to Covid19 legal requirements, only one parent/guardian is allowed and social distancing is mandatory. Parking lot is OK.
Please arrive on time. If you plan to sit, please bring a chair, depending on practice location. After Practices and Events, Parents/Guardians must claim their children on time. Penalties for delayed pick-up may apply.
Runners should bring a water bottle, wear appropriate footwear (never barefoot), and wear their red team t-shirt, and other clothing appropriate for the weather. When stretching, Yoga mats or similar are recommended for runners who might have grass allergies.
Runners may cancel their Registration in Quarterly Practices up to 7 days after start date and be refunded.
Children wanting to give running a try are very welcome; they are allowed a one-day free trial, with a parent-signed Disclaimer, Assumption of Risk, and Disclaimer Form. Bring a hard copy to practice.
Amounts due for Annual Membership, past due amounts, and registration charges for Quarterly practices must be settled prior to participation. For Youth Runners who register 30 days or more after a practice has started, please email for any adjustment to the full registration cost.
