Summer / Fall 2022 Cross Country Season, July - December, 2022. 

Cross Country Practices will be held at El Roble track and other Claremont Park Locations. See the Home Page for the latest schedule.  Note:  hours and locations will be adjusted during the season in response to changing daylight hours, heat. and track/facility availability.  In the fall, start times will adjust to as early as a 4:00 pm start. There are two steps to signing up for Summer / Fall 2022 Cross Country Season Practices.

STEP 1.  Join the team as an Annual Youth Team Member., Annual Youth Team Membership costs $48.  New Members need to pay this prior to registering for Cross Country Practices.  Existing Members need to pay Annual Membership by September 1, 2022.   New Members can join the team at New Members.  Existing or prior CRT members can check their membership status by going to their Runner's Profile.

Existing Annual Memberships lasts through August 31 of the current year.  New Annual Memberships last through August, 2023.   Annual Membership covers fixed costs, such as individual USTA membership and team t-shirts.  It is separate and charged separately from any practices or events a runner may separately registration for.  Annual membership cannot be prorated.   

Step 2, Registering Summer / Fall 2022 Cross Country Season.  Cross Country Season practices cost $64.  Cross Country practices will continue into December.  Sign up at any time.  USATF Races and other Events are separate registrations and are charged separately.  These are charged at CRT's cost.  USATF Races hosted by 3rd parties generally have minimal costs, often under $10.  City sponsored 5K and other races cost more.

General Information. 

Practices may be cancelled due to inclement weather (rain or excessive heat), field conditions, holidays, or circumstances beyond Claremont Running Team's control.  There are no make-ups or refunds for cancelled days.  On days with questionable weather, please check the CRT homepage for any possible cancellations or changes.  The decision to practice on questionable weather days is at parental discretion, and Parents/Guardians must remain at the facility in the event a late cancellation is necessary.

In all cases, Parents/Guardians for Youth Runners 4th grade and under, must remain at the practice site during the practice/event.  Due to insurance considerations, younger/unregistered siblings are not allowed to participate in team practices,  stretching, or games with registered runners. 

Please arrive on time.   If you plan to sit, please bring a chair, depending on practice location.  After Practices and Events, Parents/Guardians must claim their children on time.  Penalties for delayed pick-up may apply.

Runners should bring a water bottle, wear appropriate footwear (never barefoot), bring warm-up clothes if appropriate for the weather, and wear their red team t-shirt, and other clothing appropriate.  When stretching, Yoga mats or similar are recommended for runners who might have grass allergies. 

Children wanting to give running a try are very welcome; they are allowed a one-day free trial, with a parent-signed Disclaimer, Assumption of Risk Form.  Bring a hard copy to practice.

Amounts due for Annual Membership, past due amounts, and registration charges for Quarterly practices must be settled prior to participation.
