Criminal Background Check Policy

Anyone working with minors such as BOARD MEMBERS, COACHES, ASSISTANT, PARENT VOLUNTEERS, or EMPLOYEES engaged in working with youth (legal minors) on behalf of the CLAREMONT RUNNING TEAM or its PROGRAMS & EVENTS must agree to take and pass required criminal background checks.  Background checks are a requirement of the Claremont Running Team (CRT), CRT's insurers, The City of Claremont, and the USATF.  Criminal background checks are performed directly by the applicant online.  The background check searches for violent crimes, crimes against children, and felonies.  For more information on the checks performed, see NCSI Background Screening.  CRT does not receive any specific results of the screening.  Rather, once an applicant passes, the USATF's website will show that person's name as being current and having passed.  You must have passed and be on USATF's approved list to work with CRT Youth or to be a Parent Volunteer.
